Sometimes I buy an anthology and I'm lucky if I like about 1/2 of the tales. I have to say "Don't Be Shy" very pleasantly surprised me. I enjoyed every story. There are 12 titillating tales here. Something for just about everyone. The stories are well told. Some are humorous and sexy, some heavy on the erotic, and some leaning more toward romantic lesbian relationships. Some are first person and some third person. There really is something here to please everyone. My rankings are subjective of course but here's how they ranked from top to bottom in my humble opinion.01. Fit for Forty by Harper Bliss: Steamy and fun
02. Rocket to You by Samantha Luce: A babysitter grows up and gets the MILF of her dreams. Sexy and fun
03. Doctor's Orders by NR Dunham: A feisty waitress and a caring doctor start a slow burn of a romance. What a payoff. Hot!
04. Treatment Nurse by Cheri Crystal: Original and fun with toys.

This is a collection of ten arousing, erotic short stories. I love anthologies because you never know who you will discover. Ylva is one of my favourite places to get them from because I know I'll not only find new authors (along with some of my favourites) but because I know there won't be a bad one in the bunch.
While I loved all the stories there were a few that really stood out. I was having a sleep study done while I read this book before falling asleep. R.G. Emanuelle's Insomnia's setting was a perfect coincidence. (Mine wasn't as much fun as hers was!) I wonder what my brainwaves were like, I'll bet they spiked as my heartbeat raced!
Harper Bliss' Fit for Forty was a lovely tale of a committed couple as they celebrated one's 40th birthday by connecting with nature on a very secluded and beautiful nature setting. There was a realness to this tale. I could totally relate to both characters. This is one of the things I love most about Harper's work.
Another pleasant surprise for me was The Longest Night by Ronnie Willows. I've never seen her work before and I do hope to find more. This sizzling BDSM erotic encounter is about a woman who just needs to surrender control so she can feel free again. It was sexy as hell but there was a real emotional undercurrent that made this short unforgettable.

Like the title says, push past your inhibitions and your “that's not my genre” opinions and give this anthology a chance. Sex becomes so much more when these talented authors breathe life into their characters, the settings and their storylines. Familiar names mix with new-to-me authors but all give you an entertaining peek into the steamy side of life.

What goes on in the break room stays in the break room.
Meltdown by Sacchi Green;
So unique. A short story so well written you picture the blacksmith's shop, Sigri's magical creations, naked swims in the goddess place and steamy sex in the sauna. A story which feels disjointed yet compelling. A real highlight and oh so hot.

Oh my. Staying late after work has never been quite so stimulating.
Fit for Forty by Harper Bliss;
I loved this. Humour transitions into earthy (literally) erotica, and this from a happily married couple of twenty years. Lovely

Paradise Rewritten by Eve Francis;
So that's where the Lilith Fair name originated. Sexy time in a pet shop and educational to boot.
The Longest Night by Ronnie Willows;
Oh my. Let me qualify that with the fact that I don't read a lot of erotica and I tend to avoid BDSM. My mistake. With the right Dom and Sub ( Devon and Lacey are perfect) this is IMO the hottest story in this anthology. Yowza. Willows does a fine job of showing how much pleasure the players involved achieve. Multiple times. Left me, ummm, a bit moist! Lol
Dr's Orders by N.R. Dunham;
A sweet story where familiarity breeds comfort in a time of need.
Rocket to You by Samantha Luce;
A great finish to the anthology. A chance encounter with the MILF from your past. An entertaining and steamy closing choice.

This is a collection of erotic short stories. Great stories...some not so erotic, but many are good. The collection, however, was broken into two books and this version only has the stories from the first one. Some of the best stories are in the second publication.
